This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
